Yah, any OBDII reader can clear a check engine light. I think Pep Boys or Auto Zone may do it for free (if memory serves).

Ps. I've also read that leaving the negative terminal off for ten minutes may reset it too. Easy enough to try, eh? :)

So how did you get this fixed? Was the flanges warped?

Any ideas would be greatly appriciated! Thanks in advance.

Try this initially, leave it off for about 5 minutes before connecting to make sure the system is completely discharged. Then try it again, if not... best bet is to go to either a shop or get your own reader to clear the code.

If you want to prevent it from happening again, if you feel like taking your o2 sensors out again, you can stake some medium coarseness Steel Wool and put some in the o2 bung to block some of the gasses from hitting the sensor. It's what I did and worked like a champ.

:iagree: A Code Reader is just to read codes, you'll need something that specifically clears them too. It should say it on the box I believe.

Places like Autozone, unless you get a good guy, aren't allowed to clear codes if they read them. They can only tell you 'You have a code'. Or maybe it was just the guy I was working with the time I went that didn't want to press 3 buttons... :icon14: ...go figure. :ugh2:

Thanks for the reply. I have the FI HFCs and the O2 bungs are turned out 90 degrees from the cat to prevent the gases from saturating the sensors I thought.
Anyone else with FI HFCs throw a CEL after installation or need steel wool to prevent a CEL?
Tony, can you comment on this being my issue? I just thought it was cause I disconnected the negative battary terminal of my battary... Thanks.

I noticed that when I turn on my A/C now, the car vibrates or rumbles a bit. I don't think this was the case before the install and tune though. Anyone know if this is normal and what is causing it?

It's normal, when you turn the a/c on the compressor kicks in and raises the idle. The rumble sounds great

brucelidat 12-02-2011 07:26 PM

Okay, thanks. I just never noticed it before the CBE and HFC install so I was a wondering if there was a problem.

Got my Fast Intentions exhaust installed by Tony on Friday!!! This exhaust is absolutely amazing! The quality of this system is by far the best I have seen. The sound from the exhaust is perfect for my taste (have the 18" res). Not too loud and not too quiet. I have taking all my friends on test drives all weekend because they have been wanting to hear it and they are all amazed at how well it sounds on our cars. Nothing but compliments. Thanks again Tony and your staff for all the hard work and dedication you guys put into building these systems. Keep up the great work!!!

18" vs 12" resonator. Which results in a quieter exhaust?

jpritche 12-04-2011 07:43 AM

18"

QVu 12-04-2011 01:38 PM

I can't wait!!! A couple more weeks!!! All these posts praising the exhaust, company, and Tony has got me super anxious and excited!!!

What order number are you?

brucelidat 12-04-2011 05:32 PM

Doug, have you gotten yours yet? I know you've been close and waiting for a while.

Doug&Michelle 12-04-2011 06:17 PM

Not yet. My original estimated shipping date was between 11-19 and 12-03. I ordered them on 9-21. I'm thinking it will be any day now. :happydance:

brucelidat 12-04-2011 07:15 PM

Cool, thought I remember reading that you were getting your car up and ready for install so was asking. Keep us posted.

Doug&Michelle 12-04-2011 10:10 PM

Will do. I do have it up on stands in the garage right now. Old exhaust off and just waiting. Pics and vids asap after it shows up.

QVu 12-04-2011 11:54 PM

I think I was 417. All I know is my install date is 12/19!!!

18" is quieter. Mainly inside the cabin.

I never saw the question! The SS V Bands will drastically increase the material cost. Smaller tips are doable on a "custom" basis.

It was a pleasure meeting you in person this last Friday. I am glad that you are enjoying the system. It will get better as it breaks in!

Call me if you have any questions...

Thanks, Tony

Quick question... Forgive me if it's obvious, or a stupid one... With the non res test pipes and cbe, will these things pass inspection? I'm in Pennsylvania.

They won't ever pass a sniffer test without a HFC....

It is all going to depend on how strict your smog laws are in your county. In California they wouldn't even get pass the visual test. However in other places all they do is plug a scanner in to your OBD II port to make sure thee are no codes.

You will always stand a better chance passing with a high flow cat opposed to a test pipe!

Thank you for taking an interest in our products. All you need to do to place an order is call me directly at the number below.

As of today if you place an order you are looking at 8-10 weeks until it ships. I tell everyone it may be a little sooner but this estimate is realistic.

I only require a $200 deposit when you place your order and will not charge the remaining balance until it ships.

I look forward to your response...

Thank you, Tony

It's worth the wait.
