hey tony i heard herman got in contact with you and is ordering an exhaust from you. =]. Good stuff. was a random nice gentlemen that came up to me and said wow best sounding exhaust today. Gave him my sense on the exhaust being how it is the best exhaust and sent him your way of coarse. Hope all is well.

I am a lucky man ...
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...-50-41_536.jpg Today is my b-day and my Fiancee' woke me up and said we had to drive to get my present and then when I got out to the living room I saw this smaller box and unwrapped it, she told me to turn it over and it said "Happy Birthday Evan from Gennie and all of us at Fast Intentions. We went downstairs and the box was waiting for me... nicely packaged with a little blue stringers I guess they're called in the box haha. The best part was... I didn't know, so I didn't have to wait lol. It got here today and is BEAUTIFUL, welds and all of it just looks top notch. Thanks Tony for being helpful to my Fiancee'. I now have the best car, the best exhaust and the best soon to be wife.... AND she's Asian hehe ... ahhh life is good. |

Well, enjoy your B-Day and your exhaust. Thank you, Tony |

Pls post pics of your exhaust when installed ;) |

Thanks though man, now I don't have to decide on which to get... I had decided on yours a long time ago, but then my OCD started wondering would it be to loud, would it be this or that, blah blah. Then Boost posted his vid with his set-up which is the same as mine and it sounds great! Nice and quiet at normal speeds and such and then opens up when the throttle opens up  Thanks again for helping her out with it all! |

One more week to go... ... ... ...
|
Ok guys, I did the install tonight.. not really a big deal... had a little bit of an issue getting it lined up, but nothing major. I don't have the pics yet, but my roomate helped me do the install and we did make a few vids of the first start up, as well as a quick 0-60 vid.
Just look below... Chris fixed them lol |

Thanks Chris, and Congrats  |
Sounds great! Which did you go with? Sounds like 12" Resonators?
The sound will calm down a bit once you get some miles on the glass packs. Now all I'd recommend is popping the negative battery terminal off for a bout a min to reset the ECU so it can learn the new flow's from the freed up exhaust. What's next? HFC's/TP's?/Headers?? :stirthepot: |

You just take the URL: http://www.youtube.com/whatever/whatever=GFT$#%rf_32/imbed.blah blah blah The only part you need is in bold. The actual video code. You take that, and then hit the Youtube/YoutubeHD buttons, and in between the [ YOUTUBE ] [ /YOUTUBE ] Boxes, you place your specific code. |
Ok, on to my review... I will try to get some take off and drive by vids up for you guys in the next few days.
The install was pretty easy... my roomate had to do much of the work for the reason that my shoulder is pretty messed up... so that made it even easier lol. Everything was wrapped up nicely and there was no risk of damage. The exhaust is beautiful in person and of course quality it top notch. The first drive... well the sound is just so nice you want to keep the windows down... at cruise speeds even with about 5 miles on the exhaust, there is no drone with the windows up. I have to admit, when I started it up, it was a bit louder than I though, it kind of sounds like a monster lol. The sound settles down though once the car goes down to normal idle and is actually rather quiet. Mine has the 18" resonators by the way. Power: The power is most certainly noticable, as it should be. It keeps the Z's normal very linear curve and just builds all the way up. In a way it feels like the exhaust is capable of more power output, but at this point it feels as if the intakes hold it back from the power it COULD ultimately provide... but i'm not knocking the power. I have the ART pipes and combined with this exhaust and the car with less sticky tires and with the traction control off could easily lose the rear end so I am pretty cautious. A perfect example of this is with the ART pipes alone the car would chirp the tires in 2nd and 3rd, with this exhaust added, the tires actually do break lose more and the traction control when turned back up, comes on going to both second and third. The only thing I didn't realize... I read it, but I just missed it somehow I don't know... is that there is only 2 of the 2 bolt gaskets because I got the CBE system and not the test pipes, so it would use the OE gaskets. I will have to go and get a few of them tomorrow, but no big deal and i'll get it all worked out tomorrow. I couldn't be happier with the system and look forward to getting an intake set-up, a set of pulleys a tune and then done with the power mods. Thanks again for helping my Fiancee' out Tony. |

The ART pipes help a lot with the rasp keeping that under control, good pairing. With the comment about more power, yes, you're engine is now able to get rid of gasses faster, but still kind of restricted by the (well done yet still stock) stock intakes. Now we need to get you some Gen III's to give your engine more air to breathe. If you watch my videos, even with 295's I'm able to spin most of the way through 2nd gear and chirp in 3rd. I didn't have room to go to 4th in power, need to find another place with longer room to run... Can't wait to hear it settle in with the ART pipes, I'm interested in those once I go FI. |
You know, I actually completely forgot about unhooking the battery. I did it the last time with the TP's.
|
yes, the Gen 3's will be next. I will probably buy a set of used ones and maybe just buy new filters.
|
Ok, a test...
