whoa, I disappear for a bit and these are done! awesome.

No one has volunteered to run only straight pipe? I have unres. test pipes and the short tails. I can't even imagine the noise.

There's a few active in this thread that is willing to run it on their nismo keeping the stock nismo rear, I wonder how much louder that will be over stock

Probably would peak 100 db. My setup would probably reach 110-120 db. Enough to actually break a lot of noise codes.

Hurry up with those videos! I need to start understanding how loud my zed will be!

How much would it cost to have a prototype shipped to me?

It's snowy here but I'm sure I could find a dry day to do a few runs, at least do an install and idle.

+20whp +19 ft lbs of torque

gains would be higher if we compared from stock to this combination!!

dyno chart coming shortly!

Nice gains :)

Any videos on this setup?

Prototype was sold to the blue z we did the original testing on. He liked it so much he decided to buy it! Will have pricing on this piece by next week

I'm excited. I decided over the time I went into exile (read: forgot about the forum for a bit) that I would run the mid-pipe until the spring or early summer. No point dropping a grand on an exhaust I can't really enjoy until the weather gets good.

That and I figure if I like the midpipe, I'd keep that. Would be a great autocross sound to hear. Constantly being in the top of 1st or 2nd gear. I'll be checking in compulsively for the next week now.

Review comming! Teaser-after installing the short tails two weeks ago I didn't know it could get any better until I had the h-pipe installed by aam. Sounds amazing! not a Turbo performance increase but the increase can defiantly be felt. =]]] more details in the review.

Are you coming to the Fairfax meet tomorrow by any chance? I'd love to hear it in person

So what is the price or this setup with titanium tip short tails? How soon will it be ready? This took a long time and I got impatient. I now have custom straight pipes from FI LTH that end with the Ark exhaust cans. Due to my yipipe having issues.

These numbers are great. They are very close to the numbers of your 2.5" dual exhaust with hfc...now you got me thinkin!LOL

Khoi was the 281 with the stock Nismo h-pipe on a stock 370 or no I'm a little confused.
Thanks
but love the numbers and in for a awesome group buy for the loyal followers of this thread/project.
Cheers!!

Could this be offered in 3" version with 3" shorties for tt guys?

Sales@AAMComp 12-22-2012 07:59 AM

Guys, just to be on the same page, when I mention midpipe, it's both the H-pipe and the intermediate pipe, 2 parts of the exhaust system. This product will be named after the short tails, AAM Competition S-Line Midpipe

Production on the midpipe won't begin until mid-late January. Ballpark figures, the midpipe will run around $800, short tail prices will be the same, but we are thinking of combining the two as a package and making it a bit cheaper than our 2.5" true dual, considering this will be a complete cbe at that point

No prices are finalized at the moment

The beauty of this is, the Nismo guys can upgrade their midpipe now and retain that sexy stock rear section!

the 281 baseline we did was on a Non Nismo 370z, for those curious we did a baseline on our shop 370z a long time ago, granted it mightve been hotter or what not, but we hit 276/226, and when we dyno'd Theo's car yesterday it was bone stock with the exceptions of our short tails, he hit 281/233. Again it could be variance in days, and the dyno itself. I wouldn't assume the short tails add 5whp and 7 ft lbs of torque just yet

In the future, I can see this happening. As of right now, no 3" option
