Still interested in the Hpipe for my Nismo!

Still no update?

We just received a stock nismo h-pipe and midpipe thanks to a forum member, dmhenderson
We should be making some solid progress from here. I just did a rough measurement of the stocker and I was a bit surprised at how small the stock exhaust is! the inlet of the stock nismo H pipe is about 2 1/4" and the outlet where it meets the midpipe is about 2 1/8", same with the inlet of the midpipe, after the resonators the piping gets slightly larger again to 2 1/4" so the outlet of the midpipe meeting the rear section is about 2 1/4" Not sure why the piping changes sizes but I can definitely see Nismo guys upgrading their h-pipe/midpipe to a full 2.5" dumping out to their stock rear section for some good increase in sound and performance stay tuned.. |
So ready. Do you think there would be enough room for some resonators Khoi?

I'll take it now!
How would it sound with the stock nismo exhaust if you just change the H-pipe? |

CHEERS!! |
oh trust me, you will WANT to upgrade both pieces.. the H pipe about as thick as my sharpie aka very very small diamter, and it mates into the midpipe which is about the same diameter
read a few post up when I measured both of them. Instead of these awkward diameters, it will be a straight 2.5" from the H-pipe, to midpipe, then you can mate it up to the stock rear section! This will unlock some power for sure! It's kind of hard to tell but you can see the pipe before the resonator (towards the bottom of the pic) is slightly smaller than the piping after the resonator, it's an awkward bottlenecking system. |
