i remember a thread about a company going back and forth with X/H pipe configurations and found the X to make the most rasp. when i have time ill search for it.

Thanks for the comment Fuct. I only paid 120 for this and its not done yet. I have 2.5 inch flex pipes on order. Xpipe will sound the best when I upgrade to Meisterschaft Axel back.

those crush bends will cause you to lose potential power. it will also screw with your exhaust sound. poor welds break or crack. ether way, it isn't perfect, but for that cost, not bad.

Khoi, any updates on this?

Sales@AAMComp 11-12-2012 02:17 PM

bump from the dead!!

update as of 11/12

1) the GT-R that is on the R&D lift will be finished by the end of this week
2) the shop 370z will go on that lift as soon as the GT-R comes off.
3) We may be making revisions to our true dual system,
4) We will be revising our H-pipe to be an oem replacement for Nismo guys, so they can upgrade their stock H-pipe if they would like to a full 2.5" H-pipe
5) After the H-pipe is redesigned, we will piggyback off of that to design the midpipe portion to connect to either the short tails or stock rear section

We have a customer that will be coming in to get tuned, he's going to be the first car with the new set up. He wants to get tuned in the next few weeks, so we do have a deadline to meet for him! He already has our test pipes and short tails, so we will most likely put on the "ultra quiet" muffler style resonators in the midpipe for him so he doesn't go deaf!

I'm super excited and thank you all for being so patient!

Make some titanium ones!

Sales@AAMComp 11-13-2012 08:21 AM

Are you talking about titanium piping? Titanium is great and all but it requires a different kind of bender, welder, it's more expensive, and it's louder.. a lot more to deal with just for a few lbs of weight savings

wow not bad! I bet with upgraded midpipes and a cold air intake you could squeeze out some more power out of that set up

Oh definitely. The tuner said upgrade the mid-pipe/h-pipe and get smaller wheels and I'll break 300 easy.
