Does anyone know if FI will sell the carbon fiber mufflers separate? Kind of a crazy question but I'm kind of curious. I ordered mine with the ss mufflers but all this extra hype and emphasis on the CF mufflers are making me wonder lol

I really appreciate your advice Genesis, I'm definitely going to switch the order to at least a 12" reson. As for the non-res i'm can't quite take that step yet. There is a saying, "happy wife, happy live" hahahaha even though she's not my wife, she's always with me so I need to be mindful of something that she'll be okay with. But as for the the noise in the cabin... how is it with the windows up with the non-res CBE? Genesis? or anyone who has a Z as a DD running stock cat with FI Non-res CBE? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Intact OEM exhaust minus F.I. non-resonated stainless steel cat-back here. With windows up the volume is not obtrusive one bit. I love the deep, consistent rumble it generates even at idle with the air conditioning on, which is also far from obtrusive. Again, subjective to each individual so your best bet is to ride with someone with the set-up that you plan to get. Then ride with an even cooler dude (or chick) with a non-resonated set-up.

I wish I went with non-res. I have the 18 inch with Cf mufflers and LTHs.

Tony any chance I can just purchase the non-resonated section? How much would that section cost?

I did this exact thing. Got a non res x pipe after originally having the 18 inch res. I forget the cost, just give tony a call and he'll let you know. Less than a month to ship for me. Then I just sold my 18 inch res x pipe in the for sale section.

hmm...i have 12''+HFC. The only less perfect about my setup is that under 3k-3.5k rpm the cabin, and the rear wing section really resonates with the exhaust and there is a lot of vibration.

someone else with nismo wanna throw me some inputs?

I'm not qualified to answer that question because I was only a passenger for a short period.

I'll let you know in a 1 1/2 week when I get it installed lol.

Well the thing is I won't have the extra money for it by the time its made. So that's why I was wondering if they would sell it separately for a future purchase lol

I would have to say - no, but it does not hurt to ask. Why don't you just get the CF cans now and ask Tony if he to put the difference on a payment plan.
Personally I only go the CF cans for looks (and the weight saving as a bonus).

I just realized I'll have the money, are the CF mufflers really worth it over the SS ones In sound? I know looks and weight it squashes it! I haven't heard either in person.
