In your estimation, can you get a jack between those pipes to lift off the diff?

That's my preferred lifting point in the rear.

EDIT: looks like you jack there as well, so I'm guessing it's fine?

Yeah i do use the diff, you should be fine.

I need to polish mine to get rid of the yellow-ish color in the tips.

mine have never gotten yellow just a lot of carbon build up from no cats.

Some Mothers metal polish (this is what we use, however I am sure there are other great polishes out there) should clear that right up!

i have been using some turtle wax metal polish that i had on the shelf and it works pretty good. that and for some quick shine when they dont need a full polish i used some zep window cleaner before lol worked great surprisingly lol

Edit: does the whole system fit inside the z, disassembled? I want to take it in the z to get it installed if possible.
