I know your new to the Z scene here in Orlando, this weekend there is a get together and I know I just ordered a setup from Tony so you can see Matts (Osiris) or any one else around here, there is at least 4 or 5 ppl who have FI setups here in this general area of Florida. I just hate the 3 month wait but Ive heard nothing but the best from FI so I will wait:bowrofl:

Thank you for taking an interest in our products. I will explain below how our ordering process works.

When you place an order all I require is a $300 deposit. This deposit does go towards the entire balance. I do not charge the remaining balance until your exhaust is ready to ship. At the time the order is placed I create an actual invoice for you. Then I will email you a PDF copy of that invoice to keep on file. Now all of my exhaust systems are hand built custom for each customer right here in house. I rarely have anything in stock. Everything is built on a first come first serve basis and right now we are 11-13 weeks out from the time your order is placed until the time it will ship. This may possibly be an over estimate, but I would rather under promise & over deliver. Now the lead time does not start until the order is placed and the invoice is created. Once your exhaust is built and ships I will email you your tracking number.

If you have any further questions or would like to place an order, please do not hesitate to call me directly.

Thank you, Tony

Thanks for the reply!! Ive got to get out and hear a few of these exhausts in the flesh before I can make a decision, youtube clips only tell you so much. My biggest fear is highway drone so ill have to take a few rides. Thanks!

Left work early today to go pick up a very special delivery...

#641 - FI exhaust w/ 18" resonators and CF mufflers (even came with streamers in box! :P)

Had a few issues with Customs here in Australia but Tony sorted them out in no time.. Only downside now is that I've gotta wait until next weekend to get it fitted!

Will report back once installed and driven :driving:

What was the customs hold for? They ship UPS and I worked UPS international shipping for the last 9 years. I would think the exhaust would be pretty cut and dry (item/value/address/cntry where it was made) pretty easy. Looks good though!

Hey!! I'm looking for a particular video clip of the F.I. That started out w a rap song and underbody shots of the exhaust....black (?) Z w a walk around ...launch then drive by....can anybody help me? I want to show mr. BC the awesomeness which is F.I. Thanks for any help!!!

Just updating the count. I'm #648 and I got my tracking number yesterday.

642 installed today! 18 res cbe was a great choice :) the shop had a hard time installing it, but it wasn't the exhausts fault. The previous owner had hit sumthing hard enough to dent the floor pan where the sun frame brace was. Tony spent 30 mins on the phone with me and a tech trying to figure out what was wrong. Overall I'm super satisfied with the exhaust but even happier with Tony's customer service. 6 out of 5 stars ;) thanks again for your help tony.

Wow, that was a PITA the other (night) dealing with customs in AU. I was actually going to call you to see if the exhaust made it through. I now see that it did.

Enjoy it and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks, Tony

I know the feeling - watching everyone else with their fancy photos and videos whilst sitting there waiting for yours to arrive hehe.. Time actually flies once you've ordered it, its only the final week which felt like it went foreverrrrrrr!

Not sure the exact nature of the delay but I think it had something to do with Customs wanting to see an itemized list of what was in the box (i.e. lead pipe, muffler etc.) I managed to catch Tony in the office late that night and he sorted it out directly with them.

Thanks again for your help the other day (night) Tony. Hopefully this was just a once-off and not a sign of things to come! Will let you know if I've got any queries during/post-install, otherwise I'm sure I'll be in touch when I decide its time for HFCs/intakes :P

axmea? 01-25-2013 10:51 PM

^^^ InsanO -- Congrats on your purchase. I have mine for about 2.5 months now and it's great. Just love the exhaust. You'll be breaking necks down under and will be very exclusive. If you can, pair it with HFCs and it's gold! Let us know what you think.

I remember getting a thumbs up from a beer truck driver as I was turning onto the main road after my exhaust was installed at Tony's shop. I do not recall a day when no one turned heads. The sound is just that impressive and coming from a Z does not hurt either.

Wow that's just crazy, when I type in things for customs it just has to say whats in the box, nothing more. And since you just had the exhause, that should be one item alone unless you had headers or HFC's. I guess they could get picky then but sheesh, it clearly made it outa the USA just fine.

For the last several weeks I've been reading the threads on the FI exhaust. A couple of questions come to my mind , curious if most people are having them installed or doing it themselves?
I can see the benefit of a lift but I don't know if I trust a chain muffler shop like Midas doing the install on my new "Z".

Also wondering about the labor cost of the installation?
I would appreciate any feedback and maybe a vote of confidence in a place like Midas or suggestions.

A CBE is something that can be done with relative ease...

I would not trust a shop that is not a tuner shop to do work on it.

Get jack stands and a jack and put it up. It can be done with ease.

I'm lucky to have access to a lift :-)

I wouldn't dare take it to a Mineke or Midas to have the work done, but a Custom/Performance auto shop can.

If you're only installing the CBE, then save the money and do it yourself in the driveway. If you're looking to install HFC's/TP's/Headers and are not very well stocked in tools, or don't have a high mechanical ability, I would leave it to the shop for the peace of mind.

I did my LTH's and the rest of my exhaust myself. Using jack stands lifting the Z up about 18" off the ground.

FI Exhaust Review

FI Cat back no resonators:

Pros:
- Packing was impeckable
- My mechanic said and I quote: "wow they even grind down the welds"
- Attention to detail was impressive
- Installation went smooth with exception of a rusted bolt on the car snapped off
- No adjustment required...went on perfect the first time.
- Sounds DEEEEEPPP and menacing!
- More power across the board but mostly felt in upper RPM's

Cons:
- Are there any? I wish it was a little bit louder but I dont think thats really a con. I just need Momentum headers and resonated CAT delete pipes.

On to the good stuff then...

Of course! It sounds and looks a lot better!

By 13 I am assuming that you mean 2013 NISMO? From a performance standpoint, the NISMO exhaust is an upgraded version of the stock exhaust! It is also heavier than the stock exhaust. If you really want to relieve the back pressure and utilize the full performance potential than you need to put on a good aftermarket exhaust.

That being said, thank you for inquiring about our exhaust system. We have many options available. The (Standard) pricing starts at $1,100. Options for the CBE are as follows:

Non Resonated X Pipe: (Standard)
This X pipe comes without resonators and will be your loudest option. Very exotic sounding and slightly higher pitched. With stock or high flow cats the rasp should be very minimal if any at all.

12" Resonated X Pipe: +$130
The 12" resonators will go in line inside of the x pipe. They will smoothen out the exhaust note and quiet down the interior noise. This option is our middle of the road option in terms of sound level.

18" Resonated X Pipe: +$160
The 18" resonators are our quietest option. They will cut the most interior noise out as well as give you the smoothest exhaust note. Even though this is the quietest option we have, it is still a large improvement over the stock exhaust note.

NOTE: The resonators are strictly noise canceling devices and DO NOT hinder the performance at all.

Polished Stainless Steel Mufflers: (Standard)
This is our standard option. The mufflers will have a mirror finish to them. Given the angle that the mufflers sit, they are very noticeable from behind the car.

Carbon Fiber Mufflers: +$275
The upgrade of the Carbon Fiber mufflers will give you three changes.
1) They are a combined weight of 6 pounds lighter than the Stainless Steel mufflers.
2) The overall decibel level is higher by roughly 5%-8% over the Stainless Steel mufflers.
3) The aesthetics are completely different. Where the Stainless Steel mufflers attract a lot of attention, the Carbon Fiber mufflers blend in much more. At night they look black.

I think that this covers it all for now. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Thank you, Tony

The installation is very straightforward. There is no cutting or welding required. Everything will bolt directly into stock location. We will supply you with new hardware, gaskets and installation instructions. The entire install should not take more than 1-1.5 hours.

Here is a great DYI video below that one of our customers was kind enough to create and share with the community.

Fitment, sounds, and availability have been answered several times and most of your questions are answered on the first thread ....

I'm sure your next question will be if anyone gas any sound clips... Lots of people have covered this.... There is a reason why this exhaust is the most sought after and why people are willing to wait.
