FWIW, I already have FI resonated test pipes and 18" resonated exhaust. The sound is great, and there is absolutely NO rasp. I'm happy with the 18" resonators, but sometimes I wonder if it's worth switching to 12" or even non-res.

I like the tone and sound level, but I don't want to be that guy who wakes all my neighbors up at 6 in the morning when I leave for work.

but really you can't go wrong with any variation of FI products. that's one of the best parts about it is that you have many options and combinations to make it suit your wants/needs.

:tiphat:

Did the car you listen to have any additional mods on it that would effect the sound you heard? Intakes? High flow cats, ect?

I wish I had a quality camera. As far as I know, I'm the only one here with FI non-res test pipes paired with ARK Grip catback. I have no drone, no rasp... Small amount of hiss on decel. Screams at top end. I can't even describe it.

I just have fi non test pipes, When I get bored I blow air through and make noises slight hiss when I run out of breath. Can't wait until mine exhaust comes in the mail 12 res if cat back.

Just ordered my FI SS 18" resonator exhaust. I'm #1249 and now the wait begins. But it's not to bad because I've only had the car a couple months so the time waiting will be spent getting to know my z a little better:driving:

I was in the exact same boat you were in 3 months ago. After about 10 YouTube videos and 2 weeks of research through this thread you'll realize that the "it's not too bad" part was a lie. Congrats on the new purchase, car twins!

Actually I already know it's a lie but I keep trying to convince myself

It says on their website that the resonators don't affect sound outside....only inside. Is that incorrect?

Did they say what build number is going on because i am going a little crazy here ..really.

That does not make sense. The only way for something that is located on the outside of the car to effect the sound on the inside, is to also be louder or quieter on the outside. The only way to effect the sound on the inside without effecting the sound on the outside, is insulation.

If you stand outside and listen to the different resonators, I am sure you will be able to tell the difference in sound level.

I could be wrong.

It's worth the wait :) really it is. It seemed like forever at the time, but looking back, I don't remember the wait anymore.

My son videotaped me passing my wife and him on the road while I was gettin on it hard... after watching that video, I knew I made the best choice. It sounded amazing.

Yeah it's a little loud inside at times but nothing extreme. Raise the revs when it starts to drone and it's not so bad.

Leroy! I've got good news for you.

We're in the process of finishing up your exhaust system this week. Should ship late this week or early next week, right on schedule. I'll email you tracking once UPS picks it up.

Thank you for your business and patience!
