Couldn't find any descent videos with someone really putting their foot in it; not breaking the law or anything/ but a realistic sound.... Mine is bone stock! Listen...https://vimeo.com/137460943

From pussy cat to lion!

Just got my F.I. Non Resinated installed on 8-24-15. Oh my god, this thing has my car sounding like a beast and I can feel it pulling harder too. Great product and great customer service. It was a pleasure dealing with Kevin. I'll talk to you soon for the SZ clutch and fly wheel upgrade. I was #1211 by the way.

You wont have any issues. The gen 1 system required you to be a bit more careful but with the gen 2 its not that low at all especially at stock height.

Thanks for the info, I did not realize there was a gen 1 and gen 2 system. So did the can shape change for gen 2 or some other layout/angle change? I'd be curious to see pictures gen 1 vs. 2.

There is no difference. The gen 1 was only a little lower compared to gen 2. Not visible really but effective at not scraping the cans

Just a slight change to the pipes going into the mufflers.

Need some advise. Installed FI exhaust today and the tips are not completely even. The driver sticks out about 1/4 to 1/2 more than the passenger side. How do you get it to be even because it seems pretty rigid. I remember seeing a few post but cant really find the answer I need. Help because the car is up on stands and today is perfect to get this out and see how they sound.

Just use a couple gaskets.

Pretty common for most systems. I just adjusted the hangers and used the washers on the drivers side. After the carbon splitter, everything looks normal

It's fortuitous that I happened to read this now. I had the same issue, except the passenger side exhaust tip protruded a bit more on mine. The solution is to use two or even three gaskets where the muffler section connects to the resonator section. I believe using more than three gaskets is not recommended. This will push the shorter side out to match the length of the other side.

I must also add that I used the Fast Intentions 2.5-inch, 3-bolt metal gaskets (Fast Intentions). I am hopeful you have access to those, as I'm not sure if it is proper to use two or three gaskets of some other type or to mix types of gaskets. Perhaps someone else can add some insight.

I am going to reach out to FI for some of the 3-bolt metal gaskets. I think that may work. As for not being totally centered I pulled hard on one side and pushed on the other side to try and get it to line up close to each other and its not too bad. Trying to get it perfect because after this long wait it should be. Thanks for the input, don't look like to many people are DIY out there.

Professional Quality FI recording

After I get my CBE installed I'll make a high quality audio/video of the system. I'm a professional recording engineer and have some very good microphones and recording gear. That along with our HD cameras I should be able to put a really accurate sound on a YouTube video. With the current wait it will be after the first of the year before I can do this. December is crazy for me with all of the concerts that will be going on anyway.
