What would be the difference between a non-resonated CBE with resonated test pipes and CBX non-resonated with resonated HFC? I hate the raspy sound. Exhaust is about perfect now with only the FI Non-resonated CBE. If I could get a deeper tone it would be better, plus 7 more hp to boot.

If your looking for a louder and deeper tone I would recommend high flow cats or resonated high flow cats. Resonators will minimize the chance of rasp. Test pipes will be slightly higher pitched in tone, especially when paired with a non-res cat back.

I have a 2012 nismo with Berke HFC's. I like the way it currently sounds but would like a little louder deeper tone . Which exhaust would you recommend and would there be any HP gains over the stock nismo exhaust
Thanks

Leroydsouza 05-30-2015 10:42 AM

Well i have had the nismo and its not really a loud exhaust at all.
I am sure you could gt a much better and deeper sound from the fast intentions.

About gains, the gains are going to be very minimal since you already have the nismo paired with berk hfc's.
If you do buy another exhaust, it will most likely be to change the sound.
As far as i know, fast intentions has the most gains so if ur going to get another exhaust it better damn be a fi.

I think it was 10-12hp gain between the Nismo and FI exhaust. There was a thread on here with the data. Look at the sticky at the top, guy has FI with 18" resonators and FI resonated TP to give you an idea.

Guy's & Gal's, i haven't read through all of these exhaust comments,,,but i'm wanting to upgrade mine from stock.....i've heard the fast intentions produce good power on dyno.
Also i heard a video clip/on you-tube & it wasn't really that much louder:just a deeper tone. thanx for any input....wish list for later includes GTM Twin SC....thank you for any input.
Also-interested in headers & cat delete pipes....Goal is for a 10sec. 1/4 street ~Z~ without calling the cops everytime i get on the throttle.

They make a TT kit, and recently broke into 10's in an automatic Z

Gtm twin sc seems like a waste of money to me if your looking for power, for the same price you can go TT and do a e-85 conversion and make 670 whp with correct supporting mods on 13 psi. Far as I know I don't know Z34 sc making close to that kind of power.

Turbos make more torque: I know they make transmission upgrades- but didn't want to over torque it. + TT is a more complex system & cost more.

Research I've done on the GTM twin sc. Puts 550hp & 410tq @ the wheels- through the stock exhaust.,,, I'm thinking just under 12psi boost

Well has your research given you the answer to the big question.. are u expecting a product from gtm in exchange for money ?!?!?!?

Haha dont hold your breath, i am looking forward to it too..but i aint relying on it

I've only heard of one guy actually installing the GTM twin SC and it only put those type of numbers down on their dyno. Never came close to that power level anywhere else and gave him nothing but problems. He eventually threw in the towel and traded the entire car.

There are no good SC options left. Go with FI for TT and BP for single. AAM makes a decent kit but the FI is better.

Good Question! I've spoken with a guy that builds them & there is a slight turn around time....they build to fill orders & are behind a bit(so he says)
