5/16 size did the trick for me, if I recall correctly.

I used 1/4" and it was a perfect fit. Be sure to get galvanized ones so they don't rust.

Hello,

The 2.5" true dual FI TDX seems the way to go for my GTM MHI kit. The entire exhaust looks just BEAUTIFUL

Wanted to ask what the U Bent O2 sensor non-foulers do. Do they prevent the check engine light from coming on, which would otherwise happen due to increased exhaust flow?

Secondly, how do the 300 cell FI cats compare to the 200 cell cats from the likes of Berk/Erz/Stillen? Even better flow? Would they mate to the 2.5" TDX CBE?

Thirdly, I find the resonated catback still too quiet and civilised. Therefore I want to go with the non-resonated X-pipe. But in my quest for yet a little more exhaust noise, would the carbon mufflers help over the SS mufflers or do they sound the same? What about the 4.5" resonated tips? Looking at the Saclam exhaust tips, one can see slits as if they were non-resonated. Might this trick give them this orgasmic F1 sound track? Maybe a small DIY job might achieve the same. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your advice :driving:

Any new tracking numbers?

nhbpcivicsi 01-10-2014 08:03 PM

how long would it normally take to receive the exhaust from when the order is placed?

I see your on Swift Springs does your FI exhaust ever scrape? I'm curious because I have swift springs and plan on getting the FI exhaust.

I heard 2-3 month. I think it's nearing 2 for me.

exsanity 01-10-2014 09:39 PM

Anyone know what number we're on now?

cooltoy 01-10-2014 11:00 PM

I think up to ~ 870 got theirs. Give or take.

exsanity 01-10-2014 11:02 PM

Cool.. Thanks,

RoyaltyB 01-11-2014 12:20 AM

May be a little past that. Think it has been about a week since 870 has posted. It's possible some of those sold may not be forum members or part of this thread. Regardless it will be worth the wait. :)

Is there any reason why you didn't go with the 3" version? When I was NA and had the 2.5" version, the exhaust note was something serious and I had the 18" resonators. Funny thing is that the the 3" non-resonated, it is quieter on a turbo setup. It is civilized until my DPs crack open, but that is another story..........

Because turbos make the car a lot quieter

He's new here... Let him learn a bit...

Yes I'm new here :tiphat:

Yes I've already heard Turbos quieten the car down, but that cannot be a reason for not going turbo. That's why I'll choose non-resonated X-pipe and non-resonated downpipes

Regarding 3", I was explained 3" is good for Turbo setups that go beyond stock motor capabilities. And that 2.5" and 2.75" are sufiicient, i.e. no bottle neck, for the GTM MHI TT kit.
Apart from that, I ever only found their 2.5" TDX offered on F.I. web page, not any 3" version. But more importantly, I needa keep cats for emissions and FI only offers 3" test pipes as downpipes, yet 2.5" HFC downpipes

Hence, 2.5" ;)
