I recently removed a $500 "brand name" cold air intake from a 370z, and can tell you that it was on worse than any ebay stuff I have ever seen.

I have never seen aluminum tubing that thin. I was able to crush it using one hand (turning round in to oval). This intake system was clearly made in china at a cost of no more than $60, then branded and re-sold here at a ridiculous mark up. Just some food for thought I guess.

Boosted Performance

The one you linked has the diameter transition too close (before) to the MAF sensor, so it may cause problems. Hard to say without testing.

However, the K&N intakes don't follow the rules either when it comes to having a flow sensor/meter inside a tube, so it may be fine.

I was thinking the same thing... if you wanna warn people, warn them... if not keep it quiet.

$500 name brand intake narrows you down to no less than 5-10 options for our car.

Well, my Takeda just arrived and I'll probably put it on tomorrow morning... Retails for just under $600, but I paid less than $400... So its not mine!
