Very normal, unfortunately. You could exhaust wrap the test pipes and x-pipe to break some of the resonance. It does work, I've done it on two different exhaust set-ups.

I hear a lot of talk about the Hiss on decel and revving but barely any talk about acceleration.
I get it with all three. Its annoying when accelerating hard and you get this hissing/rasp along with the VQ sound. Kind of ruins the whole beauty of the VQ exhaust note. I checked under the car and nothing is hitting anything, checked the exhaust and test pipes for leaks or any loose bolts. Everything is fine so i'm guessing its just the nature of these test pipes. I'm going to try and Wrap the test pipes and see if that helps. |
