Apparently I pulled the air duct out and left the support. My confusion stemmed from Takeda calling it the "radiator support passage." Other designs call for the removal of the ducting whereas the Takeda system does not, at least not in the version that came with my intake last year. The ducting definitely needs to go.

So I apologize to Sh0velMan for the confusion.

Any word on these being CARB legal? I live in CA and last I heard they were in the process. Does anyone have confirmation?

Amazon has them under $400 every now and then. Have to keep tabs on it. One of our vendors has them for $400 shipped. Although I no longer have the quote.

It had been a week since I last checked it must of been a sale for June. It is back up to $417.05 now. In which case I would get it from one of our vendors here. I don't have the quotes anymore but one had them for $400 shipped would be the best price unless you can catch them cheaper on Amazon.

Just got mine installed this morning and I love it so far. Car just feels so "sturdy" and strong when I drive and can't wait to add in my FI exhaust in about a month or so.

OK so.... I have been reading thread after thread and I'm having a hard time getting solid information on this.

But as far as drop ins and post maf tubes vs takeda or Stillen g3s.

So I've read that CAI mostly only ad high end HP and even decrease torque. And that the drop ins make less power but it is in the lower rpm range. thanks for any help in advance.
