Marketing Gimmick - a trick or device used to attract business or attention - Webster Dictionary.
These are really just the gimmicks or fads, that the companies selling these devices, hope every new driver or new car buyer will fall for with every vehicle they buy. To sum all of them up. After market CAI minimal HP gains vs. cost, 370z already comes stock with good CAI intakes, cons = warranty issues, tuning issues. Reusable oil type air filters = less filtration than cheap stock paper filter, possible dirt particle transfer during cleaning, MAS damage from excessive oil, high cost. Radar/laser detectors, jammers = fools toys. |
