You shouldn't get much heat from a high flow catalytic converter. In essence there is still a part there that is doing the job. If you had a straight pipe, then you'd be running into problems. If you're really paranoid, take your car to state ref facility and get your setup tested. If you show up on your own to make sure your car is street legal, they provide you with the documentation that you passed specific test (i.e. exhaust decibel readings, emissions, etc.). Also if you fail, they give you the opportunity to fix the items without the risk of being reported to the DMV as a gross polluter. |
