Iat's are somewhat separate from straight tube temps.
The heat conductivity of the plastic is very low, although the plastic is somewhat thin so you see some heat transfer. With the stagnant air in front of the inlet, though, you see a huge iat spike when sitting. You can alleviate this a little with ducting, but for the most part it is unavoidable. |
