Exclamation USDM-Specific AMUSE 370Z Exhaust Information

Hey guys, this is actually a bit of old news at this point, but up until now we hadn't mentioned it publicly yet...

As some of you might know, there are subtle differences in 370Z depending on which market the car was intended for. In particular, the USDM Z features an extra means of emissions control with the evap canister (charcoal canister). This canister is placed on the right, underside of the car near the exhaust. As the JDM Zs don't have this feature, there is quite a bit more room in that general area.

In Amuse's original exhaust design (spec'd off a JDM car), they designed the right loop of the exhaust as a large curve that bows out to the right. However, when installed on a US-spec car, there are issues with clearance, and the exhaust can rub on the charcoal canister quite severely, causing the plastic can to melt.

After learning about this problem late last year, we worked closely with Amuse to develop a solution for USDM Z owners. As a result, earlier this year, we received the first USDM-specific Amuse exhaust for 370Z.

If you look closely as this photos I took at Amuse's shop earlier this year, you can see the differences below between the standard Amuse exhaust on the left, and the revised, USDM version on the right.

For those of you that have questions regarding this exhaust, please don't hesitate to contact us or more information regarding fitment, or any other questions you might have regarding Amuse products.

And just because I love the sound, here's a new short video that features Matsui-san of Amuse taking Ben for a ride in the white Vestito car.
