It has a lot to do with the cat-back. There are a number of factors but the most important ones that affect sound are whether the exhaust has an x pipe or H pipe, resonators (size, shape and internal design), and the mufflers (size, shape, and internal design). After looking at some videos on youtube, the Magnaflow exhaust has a bit of rasp even with the stock cats and that rasp would only be amplified with HFCs or test pipes. Here is my FI exhaust with HFCs for reference, go to around 1:00 and the 3:00 minute marks for WOT runs:
