Default WTF is this???

Ok, i've had a few opinions as to what is flying out of my exhaust in handfuls, but i just want 100% confirmation. I have the Stillen SC, HFC, and CBE. The below is a pic of a couple of pieces of the metallic like chunks that are spewing from my exhaust pipes. I've been told it is coming from my HFC...is this true? If so, if after replacing my HFC, will the pieces that are still sitting in my muffler damage it in any way?

You just lost the hfc's!!

time to replace them before they clog up the mufflers.

muffler damage depends how much has been blown out.

Test pipes FTW. Seem to be seeing more of this coming from HFC's.

damn man, sorry to hear. If it were me, I'd just opt for test pipes so as not to have a worry anymore. If you want to stick w/HFC's there's berk and F.I. etc that would be a good alternative the stillen's.

Of course, if you do decide on TP's, you may need to tqueak your tune again...

For forced induction applications, it is very important to use a catalytic converter with a metallic core instead of a ceramic core as a metal core withstands much more abuse and will not fragment upon failure.

Unfortunately, I have yet to see a HFC offered for the Z that has a metallic core, all of them are ceramic and will blow out with the higher EGTs of FI.

well, these pieces that are coming out are metallic...doesn't that mean it's a metallic core?

Also, i have a friend that has a pair of test pipes that he isn't currently using. So since i have FI, will it be a problem if i don't get it tuned right away?

Save your money and get the art pipes. Test pipes with a supercharger is going to sound like $hit ..

i have to put something on there...can't leave these HFC's on there to clog things up. If anything, the test pipes will be temporary.

um, just realized, the "ART" pipes ARE test pipes. So your statement contradicts itself.
