BTW, the Tanabe, comes in a massive awesomely packaged box. The install as my shop told me was the easiest exhaust they've done. No tweaking, they literally bolted it on and it was straight.

I am pretty curios about tanabe. I found a great deal on Amazon and could not pass it up. I hope it's not dented of bent. The stock photo is of a single exhaust, but the part number matches up.

I'm looking into the y pipe and down pipes. I know the motordyne is a huge cat, but wouldn't the down pipes pass more volume? There are way too many choices. I do want the tone to stay modest and you tube clips are hard to judge.

Just get resonators for the testpipes. Motordyne has ART pipes, GTM and Fast Intentions has resonated test pipes, and ARK has a similar design at the ART pipes for theirs. It's quiet when just cruising around, even with my Long tubes. There are a lot of combinations to play with.

this might be a dumb question but i am about to invest in a new exhaust for my z and i was wondering what the difference was in the Ark Dt-s and the Ark grip exhaust systems and what i should get

DTS is tucked in likt the standard exhaust but with seperate cans per pipe. The grip sits a bit lower and has branch resonators attached to them. DTS is slightly louder.

Do we have a list of a majority of the exhausts that are offered for the 370z? I would like a list to be able to go through, listen to the exhaust online, and kind of make a list of what I like, vs what is affordable, etc etc?

You know whats funny is everybody is so concerned about the sound of their exhaust but they are in the car driving it and can barely hear to tell how good it sounds.

So are the exhaust for the drivers ears or people on the outside ears,if it is for the driver then go get carjacked and listen as the man with the gun speeds away in your car and you can listen to your exhaust then.

<<<Windows down in a walled residential neighborhood, in a tunnel, near T walls, and just too watch peoples faces whether it be irritated or amazed. Of course, it sounds good inside the car too, but I'm not about to put in fake induction pipes to "pipe" my exhaust sound in the car.

I do see your point Baer, but I imagine some would like gain attention from others as well.

No thanks... I didn't get an exhaust to NOT hear it.
