Tell them to foot the bill with a quiet exhaust then. Otherwise screw what they think. They don't pay your house note/car payment.

which exhaust is this...it looks sweet haha

HKS Hi Power. the resonator design fits exactly what you described wanting, quiet in low rpm but comes alive at WOT, the design allows lower speed of exhaust gas (lower rpm) to utilize the second canister on top of the muffler and keeps sound down, but when you have higher exhaust gas speeds (higher rpm) the canister on top of the muffler is bypassed and the volume is obviously increased.

No cons, it is an expensive exhaust. I would say ballpark 10-15whp but I really could not tell you without putting the car on a dyno, I just did this for the sound not gains.

I think the gains for any good standard CBE is about 7-10whp if at all... I got it more for the sound, than the power gains. Stock was just wayyyy too quiet. Sounds like Chewbacca too.... :( I missed my stock G35C sound. Now THAT was sexy.

No cons whatsoever for me. Love my Titanium tips too. Good aggressive sound below 3k rpm, then melodic above 3k.

DH, that's a nice HKS Hi Power exhaust.... am I right?

also, I have to respond to your other thread for a get together. There's another guy on here, srbrubak, has a blue Z. On this forum too. There's 3 more z's in our area, but I don't know them yet. One of them has a roadster, and he's pretty ancient, so I'm sure he ain't going to be in to this kind of stuff like we are.

it sound's very exotic...i will be recording a video clip of it hopefully tonight or tomorrow so you can hear how bone stock sounds with it. i love it.
