309rwhp/259ftlbs on a dynojet

-Berk HFCs
-Stillen G3 intakes
-Tanabe Y pipe
-Tune

I will be dyno'ing my car soon to see what I gained with my FI CBE and maybe tweak the tune to hopefully crest 320rwhp.

I think this all depends on the brand of dyno....

But 320hp @ 8k on a mustang dyno ( which is the lowest reading) here. As for mod... all of them

2theextreme 03-29-2011 10:38 AM

Ok, I'll play along.....

Stock numbers:

Stillen Gen III Intake
Stillen Dual Exhaust
Stillen Lightweight Pulley

The 307 to 315 change happened after the AccessPORT tune, in case anyone is interested.

I assume you upped the redline to 8000 with uprev? How often do you bring it up that high? Any problems?

They really didn't make that big of a difference. The only reason I purchased them is because I had some Stillen bucks to use and didn't want them to go to waste so I figured why not. :icon17:

So what do you guys mean when you say cracking the vvel? I mean are we talking a more aggressive tune here? Is anyone close to cracking it yet?

Basically means more power. Has to do with valve opening/closing and eliminating overlap. Supposedly GTM is working on it. If you're familiar with Honda/Acura, the Hondata ECU reflash basically turned the RSX-S into a different car. Added power, advanced VTEC engagement, higher rev limit, etc. It'll be a great tuning addition if/when it's completed. General NA ECU "tunes" don't do much unless you have lots of breather mods and need to smooth out the AFR. It's not like a turbo car where you spend $500 on a "tune" and get 70 hp from it.

What did the RSX gain from it. I just hope one day we can get a little more torque from this beast.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers but two friends of mine had RSX-S's and said the Hondata was the best upgrade to have. It engaged VTEC 1000 rpm earlier than normal, which basically increased the sweet spot of the engine. One of them had I/H/E plus the ECU flash and he would pull on me in my bolt-on WRX with a tune. I couldn't keep up with the stock turbo
