As long as you have a lift you do not have to remove the steering shaft you can work around it and get the headers in. That price of $800 is up there a little bit I would say $500-$600 tops for the job. |

Have you had them done??? From what I have heard and seen you need to take off the steering linkage. And if you dont put it back on the same exact way the TCS gets all screwed up or some crap.

I paid about 300-350 bucks for the install.
it took tom about 10-11 hours because of problems with the demon bolt and a sensor not wanting to come out. Last edited by Vegitto-kun; 02-28-2011 at 03:38 PM. |

Remove the bolt in the clevis then remove the nylon retaining clip (located about 7" above the bolt). Push the spline shaft up toward the steering wheel.

I havent had them done on my car but I helped my partner install the FI long tubes on another forum members car who is a friend of mines.I had headers on my 350z as well I removed the AC compressor to get them in on that car instead of messing with the steering linkage where also about to put the Stillen headers on my friends G37 once I am done with my supercharger install. you have to take the steering shaft out whether the car is on the lift or on the ground.
