Warranty void concerns

Hey all, I was looking at ordering this bad boy in the next day or so to have it here and ready for the track by next weekend! My only cause for concern is where does this stand with potentially voiding the dealer warranty? I've only had the car for a few weeks now but I got a 6 year warranty on my car that I'd kinda like to keep. So Im looking for simple effective mods to do to my car for now that will keep my warranty in tact but still provide considerable power gains and lots of fun!

Looking forward to feed back, thanks in advance!

I don't think anyone here can give you a definitive answer one way or the other. I for one would hate to tell you that it won't affect your warranty, only to be proven wrong down the road as it'd cost you money. Perhaps you should read all the fine print and/or consult with the warranty people. Just my 2 cents.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A dealer cannot deny warranty simply because you have changed a part. Basically, a dealer has to honor the warranty unless they can prove the part you changed caused the fault. e.g. altering your wheels & tires should not effect a warranty claim on the a/c. This sounds straightforward but often things fall into a gray area. For example, supercharging the engine and then trying to warranty a transmission failure. Did the transmission fail because of the extra engine power? Much depends on the relationship with your dealer.

Nissan has a three level approval process for major warranty items... dealer, regional, corporate... dealers are the easy ones, they are financially motivated to do warranty work they do not bear the cost of the work

We have a great relationship with Nissan, and there are countless dealers across the country that upfit their cars with STILLEN products.

In fact, it's common to be able purchase the car with STILLEN products already installed.

STILLEN is well known at the Nissan dealership level..

I got back from Iraq in Dec, bling isn't much of an issue! Should I order online or call in?

Either is fine.. you can order online, and put in some notes. I'll get with Margaret (handles online orders) tomorrow and we'll get you taken care of..

Very cool that Stillen is handling customer concerns and orders on sunday afternoon. Don't see that often enough these days.

Darkaeon 04-05-2009 07:32 PM

Order is placed, I chose the 3 day method since I really only need it by Thursday to have it installed Friday on my day off. Thanks for the help Josh!

Enjoy it :) I swear I think my car is still gaining power.
