Question Deal on Nismo Exhaust : Is it worth it ?

Hi all,

I have a '09 370z Touring 6MT, Sport package, with OEM exhaust.
My dealership is offering me a brand new Nismo exhaust for less than $1000 installed. I wanted to know if the Nismo exhaust really worth it vs my OEM one from the SOUND point of view ?

Thanks.

You'll get different opinions on the sound point of view, but they are all moot because you can pick one up for $500 in very-lightly-used condition.

This is the route I went, but most people here will tell you its too quiet. It's loud enough to fill my parking garage at work with the sweet sound of the Z, and get some dirty looks from the folks who work in my building. (luckily its a big building so I don't know them)

For that much $$ you could get an aftermarket exhaust like F.I. Berk Ark and many more ( to many to name). You should do some searching in the intake/exhaust section where there is many sound clips of almost all the exhaust.

From strickly a sound point of view, and this is just my opinion because I ran that same exhaust on stock cats for almost 10k miles, it's just barely louder than OEM. It's deeper, and gets a tad louder when it warms up, but the Nismo was a bit of a let down for me.

Yes, before I posted my question, I went in this section and watched the different clips of exhaust. However, I cannot compare the sound of the Nismo one vs a stock one, that's why I asked for Nismo owners to have their opinion.

BTW, everytime I am using the search engine of the forum, I have a lot of difficulties to find the posts related to the subject I am looking for.

Concerning FI or BERk or other exhaust, I've not found some at $750 at my door, but I may have missed some interesting posts on the forum...
