Are NISMO brake pads worth it?

At $500+ installed on the 2010, it seems steep. What do you think?

Why would you feel a need to do this? The stock Akebono sport package pads are great street brakes. If you're going to track you'll probably get other recommendations (for lots less $$)..

I think its super STEEP buy some I say get some Hawks HPS ceramic's or carbons and slap em on you will be fine because $500 for brake pads is crazy..SMH

Yeah, 500$ seems steep. I will say though that I put nismo pads on my 350( with brembo calipers) and they worked great. Better than the hawks I was running. I do take it on the track, so for me it was worth it. About 250$ for the complete set on the 350.

The Nismo pads still aren't track worthy. You're better off using the stock pads (or equivilant) for the street and getting proper track pads such as the Carbotech. They will probably run you about the same $500 but you'll have street pads and track pads.

i too think the stock akebono's pads are excellent for street. not only does it grab real well, it's quiet and doesn't dust much.

the other pads i'd consider down the road is from endless.

500 is absolutely steep, almost absurd for pads. Even most of the endless pads are not that much. If you want to spend that much get a higher quality pad that has more stopping power, like what the endless line has.

I think that $500 is a bit much regardless if you are going to track the car or not you should be able to pick up better quality pads for $500 if not much less. Zboi said Hawks, I run them on my Mustang and I must say they really are great, they last a pretty long time and don't put off alot of dust at all.

He did say installed. That easily adds at least 100, but probably more to the price.

Haven't been impressed at all with the Nismo offerings... Seems like all of their products give you mediocre gains at premium prices...
