Stillin g3 CAI

So I did some minor research... and judging from what everyone said... Stillin g3 cai is a pretty safe way to go... now i just have some few questions here and there...

1)does stilling g3 cai does well or worse on gas mileage?

2)i know that cai changes the sound of the vehicle but is it noticeable? I mean i do want the car to sound nice... is it nice guys? or is it annoyin?

3)was the installation easy? or should i drop it off to a shop?

I just ordered mine a couple of days ago from Z1. From the research I did and the videos, it doesn't seem like you will even hear it unless you get up past 5K RPM where it really growls. Gas milage will probably very depending on your driving style and how many times a day you will want to hear it past 5K. As for the install, I think the hardest part will be making a clean cut for the tubes to go through the air box intake hole. I'm also planning on calling R2C today to see 1. if their filters will fit the intake and 2. if yes, how much for just the filters...

Didn't notice any gas change
The sound is better But not that noticeable
It was so easey a cavean can do it. The hardest part is taking off tje front bumper (and that was just intimidating but easy) do it yourself and save tje money. Only took about 3 hours. And there is about 20 DIY on this site to help. Good luck and post pics when done.

I noticed a fair amount of change in the way the engine sounds above 4krpm; it became much more aggressive and the car felt like it gained a bunch of power at the top end immediately after the install. Installation is pretty straightforward since all you really have to do is remove the front bumper (15 minutes) and then the longest part for me was using a dremel to open the radiator core.

Just to clarify, you have to trim the fresh air vent hole on both sides of the radiator, the DIY will cover this but follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging the AC line on the driver side.
Ak, did a good DiY that makes it pretty easy.

If you don't feel comfy? Have a reputable shop who has installed them do the work.

Its a learning experience if you follow the DIY. I would try it out yourself. Why pay extra when you can learn and do it yourself? Or call a buddy or a forum member to help. Your in SD ill even come out to help on the install if needed.
