Default test pipes??

Hi All,greetings from New Zealand!,
I have installed a Stillen cat back system to my 370Z.
Here in NZ we do not have draconian emission laws,my "?" is would I be better to fit "test pipes" over Stillens high flow cats?,its not that I am looking for huge H/P gains but a better sounding exhaust, although extra h/p is always useful.
Can anyone out there give there experience.cheers.

Well your not really going to gain any hp from TP to HFC. Maybe 1-2HP. The TP will be alot louder, but since the Stillen CBE is not to loud to begin with TP on your exhaust wont be to loud. The biggest difference is price. HFC will be alot more money then TP.

if looking for HP TP always gives more but not a lot more

TP turns to have rasp unlike the HFCs it's a lot less

TP are cheaper but will not pass emission which is not a problem for you

you can check some videos to see the difference in sound, but at the end both will give you decent gains and it's up to you when it comes to the sound because some people tend to like loud raspy sounds

I don't think TPs or HFCs would've been common if it only gains 1-2 Hp

I will say at least 11 with the HFC and 15 for the TP

take a look in this thread some gained 19 whp from the HFC

High flow cats
