hello, I apologize for the mistakes ... I installed K & N but I do not know if you need to disconnect the battery! You have to or not? If

hello,
I apologize for the mistakes ... I installed K & N but I do not know if you need to disconnect the battery! You have to or not? If you need this for how long? Are any problems after disconnecting? Now is loud but no sound of air ... without ssss. There is no sound of air at high speed: (
