I was thinking if the NISMO 370 has high flow setup, has anyone tired putting the H-pipe on there stock exhaust? Even the $1500 S-tune does not have this pipe

I've been thinking about this as well.
I know there are separate Y-pies available, but does anyone sell just the X or H pipe? I agree that this plus TP or HFC would be an excellent solution for someone looking to pick up decent gains on a budget. EDIT: Interesting commentary here regarding the differences in output, and where in the rev ange, for different set-ups. http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/153-...ml#post1084629 In short, the recommendation is Y for low to mid range grunt and H or X for top end. That makes me think the Y pipe might be preferable. Does that corroborate with what folks have found for the VQ37?

if you go with long tube headers you could probably go with either and X, H, or Y and still have mid and top end grunt. Long Tubes are bad *** in N/A applications, but chances are you might need a tune.

Nismo and high flow setup shouldn't go in the same sentence. Sure it's better flowing than the base but the piping diameter really sucks.

Are any of the aftermarket Y's any good? I saw one thread where someone made good gains off ofthe Tanabe, but what's really different from OEM there? Diameter?

More reading has also supported the general view that X pipes are superior to H; still unclear to me whether X or Y is superior however...
