... And for one of the big concerns- the Type 1 model will feature the same clearance as the OEM exhaust. There will be no scraping or problems brought by portions of the exhaust being "too low".

So with the addition of the x-pipe, what is the difference in the Type 1 versus Type 2 other than the deletion of the noise canceling cans? It appears to me that the Type 1 actually has more bends, which would lower performance as compared to Type 2. Is it just a better design for clearance?

clearance will not be an issue with the type 1. We designed for for a more aggressive sound and to try and eliminate the rasp/hiss the HFC causes. The center stacked style mufflers does to a better job in doing just that. The X chamber generates the tone of the exhaust we are known for.
