Default Identify this part - rear Emission canister shield?

Well, I just randomly looked under the car today and found out that this metal cage is really close my exhaust canister. As a matter of fact, it's rubbing against my right exhaust canister!

So I send HKS USA an email and believe me or not, I got a reply within 2 hours from them! They basically reminded me of the rear emission canister shield and asked me to remove it. I'm just curious, is this it? The local exhaust shop that put my exhaust on, didn't tell me anything about removing this shield.

Currently my car /\

I'm just making sure that's okay to remove. Maybe HKS owners can chime in?

It's only a fuel line cover. Mine were removed for the FI install and the lines covered with heat resistant tape.

Thanks. The guy who installed my exhaust was a total idiot. The whole time he was on the phone arguing with his gf . He never looked at the instruction manual.

AK you should've told him to pay more attention to your bitch while he working on it, instead of arguing with his bitch..

I start wondering why there is no fuel cover on my factory Z. Its seems that its safe not to have it. You can see the steel cover stop the heat from flowing to my fuel line. Refer to the picture below.

YES and YES! It's held by three 10 mm bolts. I had the exhaust shop take it out. NO more rubbing.

So that's what it is. I was in my basement the other day cleaning up and saw that part laying on the floor. I was like, "wtf is this piece of sh1t?" It's been so long since I installed my exhaust!
