To Hydrolock, you're engine would have to injest so much water that it would stop the piston from reaching the top of it's full stroke in the cylinder. Basically, this is not going tom happen unless the entire filter element is submerged.
Thank you so much for a very brief explanation.

Default I had a injen intake on my old g35 coupe sh_t!!!!

HI I JUST WANTED TO TELL YALL WHAT I FOUND FROM USING THOSE INTAKE SYSTEMS.THEY ARE NOT GOOD FROM CATCHING DIRT OR DUST FROM NORMAL DRIVING.I FOUND DIRT AND DUST WHEN I PULL MY STOCK PLENIUM TO CRAWFORD PLENIUM.I NOTICE DIRT AND BLACK STUFF AROUND THE LOWER PLENIUM AND SIDE WALLS ENTERING VALVES.FROM THAT DAY I WOULD NOT INSTALLED THOSE INTAKE SYSTEM ON MY CARS.INTAKE DOES GIVE HP BUT NOT SAVE FOR THE ENGINE.JUST MY THOUGHTS I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE.
