All filters need to be cleaned way before the 10,000 or 100,000 mile interval they say as once they start to get dirty you lose power. So the long tube intakes really need cleaning way before they say, meaning you will be taking the bumper off more often, and th emore something is removed and put back on the more it degrades and can get damaged. But if you have the $$$ and dont mind working on the car then the long tubes will net more power but I dont think any short rams do anything and any dyno can be tweek to show gains so I dont trust them till a member gets the stuff put on and I hear their review, and I wait for more than one to do it.

this is the route I'm going. Lets not forget another forum member here dyno tested the k&n drop ins which netted him 4-5hp gain. Another suggestion would be the cobb intake tubes. I figure between the k&n drop ins and cobb intake tubes I get half the hp gains of a long tube for a fraction of the price. And as others have mentioned, the maintance is much easier too.
