I read through the posts and I am thinking of getting the same intake along with the HKS Hi-Power TD. I see you mentioned your torque issue. Overall, what's opinion of the HKS intake? Maybe a heat shield could be fabricated?

Looking to buy the same set up that you have. HKS 70020-AN012. Could you tell me if you have had any problems ; notice any gains in HP or Torque . Is it easy to clean or buy replacement filters? Thanks for you help

Good luck with a response. You are responding to a 7 year old thread, although the OP last logged on the forum in September
![]() To answer your questions ... yes, there are hp and torque gains, but they are minimal. You're looking at about a 3-4% max gain in hp over a fully stock engine - I doubt your butt dyno is that sensitive. And if you have other bolt-on mods, the % gain is even less. Yes, they are easy to clean. Some warm water and diluted simple green cleaner should do the trick. Obviously, make sure they are completely dry before reinstalling. I've seen a few posts online over the years saying the the HKS foam filters need to be oiled occasionally (see quote below). I've haven't looked into it too much, though, as I prefer and use dry filters. Quote:
