After spending all the coin for quality headers and the painstaking labor$$ and time to properly install headers for the minimal gains you will see over your existing mods it’s not really worth installing headers to me. Shorty headers are a waste as the stock Genuine Nissan headers actually flow ok and are not the bottle neck in the exhaust system. If you plan on staying NA and are never going FI the LTH’s are worth installing to some as you will see the best power gains. With LTH’s ground clearance on our cars is the same as the stock Genuine Nissan headers although I thought removing the steering shaft to install headers was a real PITB. If you install test pipes odds are you will get a CEL and check your smog laws in NY before installing headers. Find out if NY does visual inspection and/or sniffer test. Your money would be better off being spent on your suspension like coilovers/springs,upgraded stiffer sway bars, control arms, toe bolts etc. Best bet is to save for a turbo kit or supercharger and go FI.

FYI if you did install the Z1 headers you will need DE test pipes or stock to fit. To you test pipes may be worth it for the improvement in sound and marginal power gain you will see. Take into consideration that your exhaust will be a lot louder with just the test pipes and Tomei exhaust. Headers will even amplify the db noise level.
