IIRC, mine looked like your pic with the two bolt flange directly facing the camera...you can see the inner pipe just inside the flange, but there weren't any gaps or beads of weld coming through.

I'm thinking the curved flange will be ok once everything is tightened up. If I have a leak I'm sure ERZ will take care of it.

It seems like the gap in the flange and tubing is pretty similar to the last pic in your original post.

It's a little hard to tell since that part of the picture isn't in focus though.
