I've tried re-using the gaskets without RTV and with it. Both blew out the seal and lead to exhaust leaks. The exhaust temp hitting the test pipe is really hot

I've tried re-using the gaskets without RTV and with it. Both blew out the seal and lead to exhaust leaks. The exhaust temp hitting the test pipe is really hot and those 3-bolt gaskets are known to have problems. I'd suggest just waiting until the new gaskets come in and then do the install job.
