Probably not. Your existing ones should be good enough to reuse. How ever there's no real point to them with short tails because a small leak will not be noticeable

Probably not. Your existing ones should be good enough to reuse. How ever there's no real point to them with short tails because a small leak will not be noticeable to the huge unmuffled hole like 2ft further from the joint. gaskets (good seals) are a must when you have a point of restriction or muffling because a leak will allow for a lot of unruffled noise to escape and up front will allow for fumes to enter into the cabin area.
