Default Nismo R-Tune Exhaust?

I know some people liked to call the OEM version the "R-Tune". This has a likewise H pipe but different muffler section.

Maybe overpriced but I'm so curious to how it sounds.

The double mufflers looks different, but otherwise the configuration is the same as the OEM Nismo (and not the S Tune one with the Y pipe). Not sure if the pipe diameters are all the same as OEM, but they probably are. If its a little wider, it might be good a little extra top end as compared to OEM Nismo.

That said, I would see if you can find a used OEM Nismo one, taken off someone's vehicle. Odds are it will sound just as good and make about as much power as the R tune at a bargain.

I'm figuring the diameters can't be all too different.

Already got the OEM Nismo catback setup. Just wish the muffler section was as nice as this. I guess there's always AAM if I get a deal on a used axle back.

I agree it looks slick, but it might be heavier with two mufflers too. Unless Nissan shows some evidence that their R tune exhaust outperforms their OEM Nismo, I suspect its just a slightly different design mainly marketed to folks who want the Nismo exhaust, but don't have a donor car to take it from.

I'd save the money, stick with what ya got

Also curious, I can't find a single thing about it anywhere. Not even Z1 has clear photos.

Like is it designed only for Nismo's and will stick out for non-nismo?

It can fit either model, and more likely the non-Nismo in mind.

Nice! That has to be louder than the OEM Nismo exhaust. I mean, your grandma's Corolla is louder than stock Nismo exhaust. I don't understand why Nissan decided to make their Nismo version of the 370Z quieter than a Maxima. It was the only thing that annoyed me when I first got my '16 Nismo.

That R-Tune Nismo exhaust is what these cars should've originally come with from the factory IMHO.

I'm interested in how this exhaust sounds! I was originally going to get either Tanabe or Nismo S tune...now that this has been released I'm curious.

Has anyone installed this exhaust yet on a stock car?

Looks like the just updated the site with clear photos.

Are there any similar true dual exhausts? I'd guess it'll sound similar to the AAM Competition R-Line, but slightly more muffled.

I feel like it's every reason why I've never gone to jail.

If they no longer offer the S tune, it's probably just an updated model based on the standard Nismo.

On that note, is the exhaust for the refreshed Nismo the same as it was for previous years? If not, I bet this is the same one as that, maybe with slightly shorter tailpipes to better fit the non-nismo bumper.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this sure looks alot like the AAM S-Line/R-Line exhaust. Sure the resonators look larger, but overall the design looks the same. Great minds think alike perhaps.

I have the AAM version of this and it is louder but also works great too.
