Thanks, Tony

Tony, any more info on this add in option of HFC's?

Any dyno info to notice power differences, or if a 100 cell is enough to pass emissions? Aren't current HFCs in the 300 cell area?

Would love to hear your review of them once you put them on. Do you also have the FI exhaust?

My FI LTHs and FI 18" res exhaust won't be going on till July so I have to read about others having theirs on until then :(

I definitely will do that for you and try to get a video up. I have one with the ART pipes and FI exhaust and it's a great combo. But I am sure the FI LTH and FI exhaust combo is goin to blow it out of the water!

That's awesome! What are your thoughts so far? Do you have resonators on your FI exhaust or no? Still debating on which FI exhaust (res or no res, 12" or 18" if I get res) to get with my LTHs. Look forward to hearing more from your recent install. Congrats! :)

Riptide67 02-23-2014 09:30 PM

Took two small videos that I will post. One is the first cold start and the other was a fun video with the mufflers removed :)

So for those that have the FI LTH's and the FI exhaust, is it more common for people to be pairing the LTH's with the 18" res exhaust? I already posted this in the exhaust thread but I'm really debating on which FI exhaust to purchase to pair with my LTH's.

Thought I would get a few thoughts from people on what they decided to do.

I got the LTH's with the 12" resonators. The 12 inchers don't bother me, BUT the GF/wife wishes I would of gotten the 18 inchers.

adidas5482 02-25-2014 02:00 PM

So what your saying is your gf/wife would be happier with 6 more inches....lol I too have the 12" resonators and lth's and am totally happy with the setup.

All I've ever heard in person was the LTH's with the 18" resonators. I would love to hear what the 12" resonators sound like with the LTH's. I know that there are youtube clips but hearing it in person really is quite a bit different. Hopefully I can find someone in my area that has that and then make my decision.

I have a video on here someplace, with me doing a trackday. Have the mike taped between the tail pipes. :driving:

Wow that sounds awesome! You've made this even harder on me now :)

Riptide67 02-25-2014 06:21 PM

Ya see, I have this new problem. I love how my car sounds ok much to enjoy my new stereo system.

Riptide67 02-25-2014 06:33 PM

Here is a quick vid of the first startup after install. This was taken with an iPhone and in a large highbay garage which echoes quite a bit.

The second video was for fun with the rear mufflers removed, hahaha.

Very nice! Works now!

For your exhaust do you have the non-res, 12" or 18"?

Riptide67 02-25-2014 06:59 PM

Mine is the 12". I am considering two options at the moment:

Trying to trade for a non-res
CF mufflers

Can't decide. Both are definitely going to alter the sound. One will be a bit extreme and the other just minor. After seeing the CF cans in person, I've really wanted them. Just not the price tag, but you do get what you pay for. Quality!

Yeah I'm really trying to decide what direction to go as well. Just need to keep hearing the various options and go from there. Loud is not an issue but I would also like a tone that is as deep as possible.

Riptide67 02-25-2014 10:45 PM

I'm gonna bet money that you will probably end up with the 12 should do the trick :)

There's a guy in my area that has the LTH's and 18" res. Now if I could find someone around me that has the LTH's but the 12" res I would be set. Both sound great to me in the videos but I really need to hear them first hand.

I do like the sound of yours and Rusty's so that definitely is an option. I know I would love it but it would probably really piss off the wife :)

Riptide67 02-25-2014 11:07 PM

My GF rode in my car and hated every second of it. Mission accomplished :)

Due to how loud it was or did she also notice a smell? Have you even noticed a smell at all?

I know my wife would definitely hate the loudness of it and if there was a smell that would make it even worse for her :)

Riptide67 02-25-2014 11:23 PM

When I had ART pipes there was a slight smell. With the LTH, I haven't noticed and she has never mentioned a smell. But then again she hates my car in general :p

Rusty 02-26-2014 08:30 AM

When I first met my wife. I picked her up in he Z on our first date. About 10 minutes into the ride. She said that the Z sounded healthily. :D

My wife doesn't understand my fascination with my car and doesn't understand the point of modding the car. I thought about trying to explain it but then thought it might be better to keep it all under wraps. She really won't understand when she hears how much louder the car is with the FI exhaust and LTH's.
