I'm perfectly chill bro, so don't worry about me. A lot of people misinterpret the tone of a post, it wasn't of anger but of just being surprised.

Okay, then if you have that respect then just sit back and let the man do his work, he'll get these headers and other parts done as soon as he can. 15 people going "Where's my stuff??" every day isn't going to get it made any sooner, not really a personal thing at you bud, just sayin there's a lot of people who come on these threads asking, and it's simple, when it's done, you'll be notified or it'll be shipped. Just let that be that...

NewYorkJon34 04-15-2011 09:07 PM

I know I see it all the time on bullitts/GTM thread. Plus we're all men here, I learned not to take anything on this forum personality. If I'm excited about a new product I might post once every 2 weeks or so. I know they will be perfect & I be putting a review up of them. So I'll leave it as that...see ya in 2 weeks :tiphat:

LoL Oh god yes that thread... there is no need for it to be so massive LOL

No harm no foul, I was the same way waiting for my headers. :icon17: You Won't be disappointed!

What exhaust set-up do u have? I heard Jnaut's car with the headers + CF 18" like I have and it sounded amazing

Same thing but SS. I would love to hear them with the CF as well cause I keep going back and forth if I wanna swap cans or not..

NewYorkJon34 04-15-2011 11:28 PM

Go with the CF, IMO it looks nicer/cleaner, saves about 10lbs, and gives a deeper more exotic tone. Think of it as an "upgrade" to what you already have

Are there any Vids you know of of someone who has them currently??

NewYorkJon34 04-16-2011 12:42 AM

RCZ took a quick video of my car leaving the SFZCC meet a year ago, it's on YouTube. I'll take a new video after the headers are on.

Receiving the headers the 26th, can't wait :)

NewYorkJon34 04-26-2011 08:56 PM

Headers came in today, the coated version looks amazing. They funny thing is they were smaller then I thought they would be. Im having them installed on the 27th. Thanks again Tony for your performance pieces of art, http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/5fe2db83.jpg

Are there any soundclips of the FI exhaust wihout headers, and then with the FI headers?

XwChriswX 05-10-2011 03:22 PM

Only way to do that is to search for people who just have the exhaust... no HFC's/TP's but that's an extensive search, check the Exhaust sound clip thread.

But as for direct with/without header comparisons, none that I know of. :ugh2:

ClemsonWill 05-16-2011 01:06 PM

I finished up the install of my headers last week.

FYI: I had no issues with the O2 sensors (soaked them in PB blaster and let them sit for 24 hours). Several of the header studs came out with the nuts but I had no issues reinstalling them.

Will I'm really debating getting some CF cans, can you get some vids with better audio quality by chance??

roplusbee 05-16-2011 05:47 PM

Sounds pretty mean after the header install. Maybe the GTM S2 SC w/ F.I. LTHs will actually fit the bill for my needs afterall.

The bottom line is, the stock exhaust system is too restrictive to run with our headers. To answer both of your questions, we do not have, nor do we have plans to, dyno test the car in that configuration.

If either one of you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call me.

Actualy, I am interested in your LTHs paird with the OEM NISMO CB. I would love to now what you (or others) have seen with this configuration....

How hard is the installation on these? I have done tranny swaps and other things. I know headers on LS1's where crazy hard to install. So I did some browsing but never really saw to much about it.

Thanks

If you want to do a self-install on these, it really depends on your experience level, the tools you have available, the friends you have available, etc. I don't think anyone would call it easy. For reference I think the standard shop hours quote for swapping out the stock manifolds on our cars is ~7hrs.

I did it with two friends and it took us two days (there was some beer drinking the night between). We had a lift to work on as well, I really wouldn't recommend attempting the headers without a lift, or at least some kind of plan to get the car a few feet up in the air for easier underside access.

The major break-your-will PITA part of doing headers on our cars is reaching the 6 nuts on each side that hold the manifolds on, especially the driver's side. They're way up in there, and there's a lot of blockage in the way. Bring plenty of socket drive extensions, swivel joints, etc (preferably in 3/8, a little easier to reach into there with skinnier stuff). Plan to spend a fair amount of time scratching your head and trying to dream up new creative paths to reach the bolts from different angles. Then you've gotta get those same 12 nuts torqued back down properly afterwards too.

The Shocker 05-19-2011 09:12 AM

Thanks alot, my buddy has a lift in his garage in Ohio and he was an auto tech major at SIUC. He now is the head up for some part of Honda, his Dad built all the Indy sprint motors for the series at one time. I will prolly just sit back and drink and let them get some father son time LOL

XwChriswX 05-19-2011 01:40 PM

When I had my car on the lift at Fast Intentions they had to remove the steering linkage to get the Drivers Side in. If you do that yourself make sure to make marks BEFORE removing it so when you reinstall it, that it's aligned properly.
