We have seen many '07 and up Z's and G's with o2 sensors and cat bolts WAAAY too tight. Half the time, the stud comes out with the bolt. We have also ran into a couple of o2 sensors that were cross-threaded from the factory.

Crazy Jap's!!! :rofl2:

Kastley85891 07-11-2010 11:42 PM

Seems insane, and I used to think Subaru's were bitches to work on lol

NewYorkJon34 07-12-2010 12:15 AM

No subarus still are, but now you could add nissan (Z) to that list of bitches ;)

cotizi 07-12-2010 12:35 PM

both sensors in my headers were cross-threaded :(

XwChriswX 07-12-2010 12:38 PM

Tony - With all of these threading problems and people loosing o2 sensors, if someone has an install done @ F.I., do they need to bring/buy o2 sensors, or are you guys able to save them from the stock systems?

TARDCORE 07-12-2010 03:26 PM

My horror story because of how shitty Nissan put together my car:
My stock headers were destoryed by the threading from the primary sensors. I had to order the stock exhaust manifolds, both primary sensors, and the dealer charged me quite a lot because the threading in the cats were cross threaded. Not fun. Total came out to $3594 right out of my debt account. messed up thing is my buddy bought an 06 Z06 w/ 30k miles for $38k (I paid $36,800 for my 370z), had the roof recall issues resolved by the dealer(we still have this BS oil cooling problem), took it to RPM motorsports to get their smog legal package which includes killer bee cf intake intake, ported TB, fast 102 manifold,VERY light/mild cam, corsa exhaust, and tune all for just over $7,000. his car makes 520rwhp AND passes smog!!, he has logged more miles on his Z than I have on my Z and has no problems except his roof was comming off LOL. All together he paid for the car itself and mods is $45,000 (not including tax or interest rate on anything else that varies; insurance etc) and I paid $43,800for my 370z (including all the mods I did and dealership bs and rental for a week while my car was there on my own dime) and his car still blue books $5000 higher more than mine and since the price on it so low he'll be able to sell it WAY easier. I GOT :owned: Just waiting for a TT 370z to be able keep up with his beast so I can at least throw that in his face

But I will say I miss having the headers on my car since it seems slow now on the low end.

INSTALLED!!! :happydance::happydance:

Zero issues with the O2 sensors.

The (2) top Cat bolts were a PAIN! Got them with a 3/4" impact and some long extensions.

m4a1mustang 07-17-2010 07:04 PM

How does it sound?

vipor 07-17-2010 07:05 PM

A little raspy, you can hear the air moving through the system very well now. More throaty for sure. Deeper and a little louder at idle; the rasp really kicks in about 3300 or so. I'll get some window down driving in this evening.

jnaut 07-17-2010 09:56 PM

just to update: fixed my o2 sensor issues, woohoo

XwChriswX 07-29-2010 08:27 PM

I am quietly working on 3 sets. Some people have called me to get updates and they know who they are. You and I are still set for later this month. Thanks for the bump and I will update the list with progress and new orders by weeks end...

Tony

I know I have neglected this thread for a while. I will be posting a full update this week.

roplusbee 09-20-2010 07:50 AM

Woohoo!

travisjb 09-28-2010 01:40 AM

Tony, I'm thinking about switching to your LTH's and then a passenger side exhaust that exits just in front of the right rear wheel... could be single or dual... I keep ruining my custom single rear aluminum exhaust when I drop a wheel off... Wondering if you can help with all that... Thinking about just running straight pipes... I'd also like the option to swap in a quiet muffler(s) for AMP and Laguna Seca noise limits... what do you think?

Right now I have Stillen headers, to test pipes, to y-pipe, to single custom alum pipe, to burns stainless race muffler

We could build a custom setup for you. Since you are somewhat local I do not think it would be to much work to get the car to us. Give me a call sometime and we can discuss the details...

Thanks, Tony

travisjb 09-28-2010 10:25 AM

Will do... I need to figure out when I'll be in your area next and then leave the car with you for a while after an event... will call once I figure out when that is. thanks

I have had them on for 2 months now and love them, I'm waiting for my GoProHD to get here (hopefully in the next week) So I can make vids for a full up review thread. So be on the lookout for that!
