This is a very subjective topic. I would look at Motordyne before Meisterschaft due to the design first and formost. Meisterschaft costs way too much money to essentially be an enlarged stock Y and mid pipe with no resonators. The engineering effort behind the Motordyne, the option to do full 3" for boost, and it's built in the US. Tony has excellent customer service, and he tailors specifically to the VQ platform.

So my exhaust didn’t ship right away, but it was definitely worth the wait!

Just had it installed this last weekend and I’m loving every chance I get in my Z! The guys at the muffler shop really dug the design of the whole system...couldn’t help it, had to punch it under the first tunnel I found a few miles from the shop!

I’m super pleased with my decision and would definitely recommend the Shockwave exhaust!

Sorry, was too excited that I forgot to whip out the iPhone (I did grab a couple of shots during the install, but was too jazzed before they tested the system).

I’ll see if I get a chance sometime this week, but in the meantime, there are plenty of fine examples on YouTube.

I spent a good bit deciding to either go with motordyne or meisterschaft. I ended up pulling the trigger on the Meisterschaft axle back. I have to say the axle back is great. The sound is great and theres no drone at all. I paired up the Meisterschaft with a cheaper midpipe system from a local shop and it paired up nice and sounds great!

I couldn't pull the trigger on the full Meisterschaft system just because the mid pipes seem overpriced to me.

I've been thinking of ordering myself the MoterDyne ART pipes to pair up with up I have currently.

Let us know how it sounds dude. I just installed my Meisterschaft setup today. Man it’s complete sex. I feel satisfied. No rasp at all. The rasp that some people say is rasp is not really true rasp like the E46. It’s just the sound that resonates inside the cabin.

I would get the Meisterschaft exhaust if you like a loud exhaust that sounds great if you can swing it.
