AMUSE Titanium manifold

What's the reliability of the Amuse headers in terms of cracking over time? And more importantly how do you think these would hold up with a boosted and stroked VQ??

Default AMUSE Titanium manifold

What's the reliability of the Amuse headers in terms of cracking over time?

And more importantly how do you think these would hold up with a boosted and stroked VQ?? I know its a special Nippon steel homebrew but i wonder how it would hold up with all the additional heat from something boosted?

Any thoughts?

What kind of forced induction are you talking about? TT kits will be coming with their own manifolds, and the BP kit needs OEM manifolds to bolt everything up.

Neither - looking at doing a custom Top mount twin turbo kit with amuse manifold..

Nah only joking - the stillen kit with a Brian Crower 4.0L kit (4.07?) with an upgraded impeller/pulley and TopGunzs Air to Air upgrade, I've taken inspiration from Swiss370Z

Not sure what psi as I dont really know much centrifugal pumps and pulleys but I'd assume something around 9-10psi. ie a lot more than what Amuse probably designed it for you think?

Just curious how these Amuse or MCR's titanium headers would hold up to the additional heat.

Would hate to buy it have it crack and then be told it was only ever for NA...

I can't imagine there being a problem, but I also don't see shorty headers adding much power.

The heat to the titanium headers will cause their life to be shortened. I have had welds break constantly on my old s2k (which is known for hot exhausts). I would stick to stainless and then have them insulated to keep the heat in the exhaust gases to help with exhaust velocity. Twin top mounts will be much further from the exhaust ports thus slowing spool of the turbos...

Not to mention you dont want to hack up a nice titanium header... If it was me I would pick up a set of used Z1 headers and go to town... or Do like ETS did for the GTR and go to 1.8" runners and make some big power!

lol I was only joking bullitt about the custom hack job amuse Ti top mount turbos sorry dude - but thanks for the helpful input neway

Well Im glad you mentioned the s2k because that's where i heard all the horror stories about cracked Amuse exhausts, although i think i read they fixed this awhile ago and that they may have changed something slightly with the welding process or material.

I dont think I will run Ti headers then on a Stillen supercharger kit. I might ask bulletproof see what they think also.

I can't spit out any numbers or provide you with any concrete evidence to reassure you of anything other a personal testimony of ours...

At Bulletproof Automotive we used an Amuse titanium exhaust manifold for our Vortech Supercharged 500whp setup. After 6 years of daily driving and weekend tracking, the header is pure blue from all the heat but has yet to crack or flex beyond its natural means...

I hope this helps and if you have any future questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me at 213.745.6954. My name is Hunter and as the only authorized international distributor for Powerhouse Amuse I am confident we could help you to more thoroughly assess this inquiry to better your build.

-Hunter

EDIT: Forgot to mention this was for our Bulletproof Automotive S2000 setup which is one 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and not two 3-1 exhaust manifolds.

I also should have mentioned that Amuse offers a Stainless steel version of their header as well in case you wanted to stick with Amuse but were uneasy about the titanium.
