I got an updated ETA for late July earlier today when I talked with AAM. We will see as we all know how things can change. I'm really thinking of adding this to my build.

Bakseedaa 06-22-2016 01:03 PM

Every month it gets put back another month

James10694 06-22-2016 02:28 PM

Honestly they probably made this thread after the first 3D drawing was created...

flashgordon 06-23-2016 05:46 AM

I'm all in. Patiently waiting on this to be shipped so I can install it and post numbers!

ANMVQ 07-05-2016 12:03 PM

Still waiting for a dyno :/

njobe89 07-05-2016 12:46 PM

i find it crazy that people actually spend money on this without any dyno numbers. 2k isn't a small amount of change.

James10694 07-05-2016 01:58 PM

Money isn't an object to some people, just look at some of the builds on this forum

I hear yea man, It's not that money is an issue, I just wanna know if a spend 2k of my money I get something out of it. :), Not like spending 2-3 on wheels that everyone see's ( Look appeal) hard to say ( look appeal) when is burried under the hood, LOL.

Maybe a pic of a dyno sheet :driving:

:iagree:

a dyno sheet would make a big difference

zguynate 07-06-2016 10:50 AM

I'm sure a dyno sheet will be shown once they have one of these in hand. I may be naive, but I don't think AAM is going to let us down. All of their other products are top notch. I doubt this one will be any different.

beauz 07-10-2016 12:32 AM

Keen to see what this can do in n/a application. Any gains above 4000rpm would be welcome.

You're going to be highly disappointed my friend. Unless you plan on dumping a bunch of money into a Na set up, the gains for the cost can't be justified. This is mainly for the boosted crowd. But i guess we won't truly find out until it is tested by multiple people.

Z eliminator 07-11-2016 04:59 PM

Just to let you guys in on some intake results.
GTR manifold set up on N/A does not make any more power or quick times at the track.
M370 set up will kick it down the 1/4 mile.
Those intakes are made for forced induction.
AMM will be the same as the GTR for power on N/A
actually they both will make less depending what RPM you are at.
But on forced induction they will make a lot more power than the stock set up.
I was told this 2 years ago.

michaeld@aamc 07-12-2016 10:39 AM

I know its not dyno charts as everyone and myself are awaiting, but almost there!

Im not spending the coin just yet. Just keen to see the results. Im more excited for CJM's version. I think the key will be how well you can integrate the upper and lower so that there is no lip to disturb airflow where it joins the lower. Aam mentions a 55% increase in runner flow so we will have to wait and see. I would like to see a runner with a shape that matches cylinder head port instead of a square to oval. But that means new lower and upper design of course.

Point me in the direction of a $2k turbo kit. Turbo kit and install is alot of cash. And then you have to control that heat on track (for those of us who track) and then instead of racing In <4L na class id be racing in open modified class. Everyone has a plan for what they want to achieve with their Z. Mine does not involve forced induction.

My pleasure! Very good question, I will weigh both units once I have them in hand and post all information; including dyno sheets!

Should be soon :happydance:

Any news Michaeld ? This is taking some serious time.... Considering you have took people's money for well over 3 months you give out very little information. If I ran my business like you do I would have very few customers

To be fair, Michael is just a marketing associate and I think he joined AAM not too long ago.

I thought he was just hiding dyno data and would come out with a bang, but sadly it's been a bust with typical delays.

Depends on which dictionary you use. Oxford may give you something different. For US, that means:
  • After he runs out of promises (done)
  • After he swore to himself not to jump the gun and get screwed by engineering department (done)
  • After he thought better to avoid this thread until he has something concrete to answer (avoidance still somewhat in progress)
  • Then some more waiting

So, in short, it'll be soon. :horse:
