Being relatively new to most of these "Z" companies am I to take from this that perhaps AAM is one I'm better off avoiding? Been considering an exhaust system from them the last few days but this is giving me some pause here.
Back in the day Victoria British was the mail-order go-to for Z parts. :) |

Planning on ordering a Motordyne ART pipe to go with it once I've got it all nailed down. |
Resonated test pipes and the 18 resonated catback exhaust has zero rasp. I love my fast intentions setup

Hey Guys,
Please excuse the delayed update, we are still awaiting or first batch of Intake Manifolds, with an ETA of mid-late June. Yes, it is passed the date we anticipated, but we would rather smooth out all the kinks beforehand rather than rush production to give our clients the best product available. I will certainty update this thread with updates as I receive them. Quote:

Anyone I personally know who have had business with AAM have been happy with their products and service, including myself. As a matter of fact I have purchased 3 exhaust systems from them. Don't use this particular thread to form your opinion on AAM. Some of the guys here are quick to take out their pitchforks because of the whole GTM debacle. |

Oh ok, haven't seen these 3D printed samples yet. Was wondering whether you saw AAM exhibiting a real product at ZDayZ.

Sounds like it was just 3d printed models.

I put a 100 bucks into this raffle trying to win this manifold

They were not to actual size. However, I have some serious concerns after holding these in my hands... From the design it looks like several things will happen:
1. The rear two cylinders will get a lot of air since the throttle bodies literally open up to them. 2. The front two cylinders are going to starve for air based on what I could see. 3. The bridge design across the back acts as a balance tube. however, it is all squared off with hard 90* edges and lips. This will cause a vortex at the back of the manifold and as the air travels across the balance tube it will worsen as it hits incoming air from the other throttle body. My fear with this intake is that you will over lean the rear to cylinders and the front two will starve for air relative to the rear two cylinders. I hope its not another kinetix intake manifold. These are just my impressions from handling the units... it will be interesting to see the flow data. |

Behold: THE BOLD. Fresh out of casting, the first finalized AAM Competition VQ37 Performance Intake Manifolds are on their way! http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psorpk2h0l.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psqcv8y5i8.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ps5zri32tf.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...pshnapveah.jpg |
Do you have any testing results on the prototype? I'd assume you'd have that in hand before you started turning out production units.
|
It's nice to see the product coming to fruition.
|
Lookin' good. I love the way stuff looks as it comes out of casting molds.
|
what's the estimated timeframe for deliveries?
|
Patiently waiting for results to see if I'm going to add this to my build.
|
Depending on how many $1000's I'd have to pay for the 5-10whp it would bring, this could be good. At least it already looks better than the OEM one lol
