If you were to have a resonated y-pipe it would make quite the difference depending ont he size of your resonator. And to note, once you switch to any type of pipe or cat that is not stock it will be raspy and it will drone a bit. The MD is a great exhaust. I would suggest trying a resonator on the y-pipe. That should reduce the sound a bit plus it would help with the drone. It will change the tone of the exhaust.

I'm just curious, because if you ordered the whole e370 exhaust the y-pipe should have been resonated... at least that's what it looks like in the pictures.
